Here are some guidelines to keep in
mind when shopping for your radio
gear.
Servos
The EP-8 main frame uses micro
servos such as the Quick BMS280MG,
Hitec HS-81, Hitec HS-85, the Futaba
3101, or the JR341.
Receiver
PCM mini receiver of your choice.
Mini is better. Futaba has the
R146iP 6 channel which we
recommend and use
ourselves.
Gyro
We use the SL520 Micro cased
HH gyro from CSM along with a Futaba
9650 digital servo for the
tail. A Futaba GY-401 would
also be a great pick for this heli
and many pilots are using a full
sized 9254 digital servo on the tail
with incredible results.
It's not necessary to use a digital
servo on the tail but the increase
in performance is so substantial
that this is something we consider a
must have for 3D flight. The
CSM 420 would also be a great gyro
for this heli if you are on a bit of
a budget.
